Lewis University- Graduate Education Conference

I am sitting in Lewis’ Graduate Conference watching and participating in a number of sessions on everything from student performance, virtues of teachers, and school code revisions due to tragic disasters. while all are brief (yet powerful) presentations, only the first session made the connection to student learners. Now to be fair these sessions are very brief (15 minutes). Yet I keep feeling something is missing when the focus doesn’t tie directly to student learners… I hope that the mini-con gets better.

Ok, it did… Just got out of a session on Illinois upcoming school legislation that was awesome, i a bit unsetling with some of the unfunded mandates that are proposed… as well as a piece of legislation that just passed REQUIRING a mandatory period of silent prayer (reflection)… Links to come.
